The new Financial Partners building is up and running! We are very proud to have put up such a quality structure for our investment in our clients, our neighborhood, and the great city of Ottumwa. We made a special point to use local contractors as much as possible on the project, and can tell you that about 99% of everything you see at our building came from businesses in the local area. Anthony Christner, owner of Christner Contracting, did a fantastic job of keeping us on task and at budget. We have been very pleased with his work.
The design was put together 7 years ago by a classmate and friend of Bob's, Kim McDonald from Iowa City. Ken Steffen, a long time local architect, worked on the final touches and completion of the drawings. Having so many quality individuals working on this project has made this into a building our clients and Ottumwans can be very proud of. We have the utmost respect for those who participated in working on our building.

Bob Kramer is a native Ottumwan who is an entreprenuer that specializes in working with business owners and retirees who are busy and struggle to find the time to do adequate retirement planning and investing. Bob has found that so many successful people have other more important things to do with their lives than studying the financial pages or trying to understand P/E ratios and Beta in their portfolio. We have turned away people who have $10,000 or more to invest and want to buy a certain stock because of a tip they heard. That person can be better served by purchasing over the internet, or using another broker who can service their needs. Our philosophy is to look at the entire picture before making a recommendation, much like a physician. Before treating a sprained ankle, we look into the hacking cough or irregular heartbeat. We examine that person and their current situation and find out as much as we can before making any recommendations. People are so busy today and we want to make the time they spend with us worthwhile and valuable.
Clients and new investors can meet with Bob at our new location at 2116 N. Court St now. We are excited about this beautiful building. It will accomodate our growing clientele and business needs, from financial planning and investments, to new services on the horizon. When asked why he built such a large building, Mr. Kramer replies with a wink "If I had little dreams, I would have built a little building."
